Cedric Main Departs Croft Park

Blyth Spartans would like to communicate the following piece revolving the departure of Cedric Main from the Club.

After announcing the retained playing squad list, Graham Fenton provided the reasoning for Main’s exit: “Cedric wishes to explore different opportunities higher up the league, and he’s wanting to move back to the North West too.

“We’re disappointed that he’s moving on as he’s finished the season strongly for the Club and scored some crucial goals, we wish him all the best for where he ends up.”

The 25-year-old striker joined Spartans in September 2022 and amassed 39 Vanarama National League North appearances for the Club this past season. He scored six goals in the process which proved to be pivotal in securing the Club’s Step 2 status.

Main will also be remembered for an exceptional four-goal haul in the Isuzu FA Trophy second round against Buxton to help Fenton’s side progress in the competition.

Everyone at Blyth Spartans would like to thank Cedric for his commitment and contributions during his spell at the Club and wish him the absolute best in his future endeavours.
