Blyth Spartans can announce that Wayne Buchanan has signed on for the upcoming season.
The 29-year-old was signed at the start of last season and was a rock at the heart of the Spartans defence alongside Chris Swailes.
It was never really in doubt that the former Lisburn man would remain at Croft Park and the new deal was quickly agreed, when Bucks returned from his honeymoon earlier this week.
Manager Steve Cuggy commented “We’re delighted Wayne has signed on the new season, he’s a really nice lad, an excellent defender and clearly loves it here at Croft Park”
“He brings a great deal of experience to what is a young squad and knows all about football at this level, which is an added bonus.”
