Vacancy for Match Day Camera Operator

Blyth Spartans are looking for a new Match Day Camera Operator for next season.

Duties include filming all home games – and away games, if possible – editing footage into match highlights and uploading the finished highlights to BSAFCTV.

The role will also involve working with Visual Media Officer Glen Maxwell to ensure all footage is consistent with the rest of BSAFCTV’s output.

Glen said: “We did have someone lined up already but, unfortunately, they are now unable to take this role on. They ticked all the right boxes, so it’s disappointing that they can no longer do it.

“That said, I’d like to thank them for giving us plenty of time to find a replacement and it now opens the door for someone else to come in.”

Ideally, the successful applicant will have their own video camera and access to editing equipment – as these cannot be provided by the club.

However, this voluntary role will allow you to expand your media portfolio and will give your work a platform to be viewed by Spartans exiles the world over.

Glen said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person. BSAFCTV is still very much in its infancy, but the Match Day Camera Operator will play a big part in the coverage of next season.

“Luckily, we have enough time to get the right person in. If necessary, we can use the pre-season to iron out the finer details and that will allow us to hit the ground running when the season starts.”

Please e-mail all applications to BSAFCTV@gmail.com and include any links for previous video work (if applicable.)
