Spartans players Matty Wade, Jordan Watson and Ryan Hutchinson have been offered a trial at Alloa Athletic.
The trio travel to Scotland tonight in advance of playing in a trial match tomorrow against the first team.
Alloa play in the Scottish Championship and are currently one place off the bottom spot.
‘The Wasps’ have been watching the trio for five or six weeks.
The players will return to the north east later this week.
Meanwhile forward Jarrett Rivers has returned from his week with Oldham Athletic. It is understood that the League One side have not made an offer for him but will continue to monitor his progress.
