Spartans conceded a late goal to lose 1-0 at Whitby on Sunday.
Manager Tom Wade commented: “We were a little bit unlucky to lose. A draw would have been a fair result I think. The conditions suited Whitby better but well done to them in the end.
“We’ve been trying to rotate the squad recently but our winning run couldn’t go on forever. We got three points against Workington when maybe we shouldn’t, so it’s swings and roundabouts.
“The good thing is that we battled hard for 90 minutes against Whitby and are now in the battling mood. We’re ready for the fight ahead in the FA Cup on Saturday.”
