The Junco Partners (2 Dec 2011)

Blyth Spartans are delighted to announce that the finest 60’s R’n’B band in the North East, The Junco Partners, will perform their Christmas Special at the Social Club, to a limted audience of 140, on Friday 2nd December 2011 (Doors open at 7.30pm).

Formed in 1964, the Junco Partners started out playing to North East crowds in Newcastle and Sunderland. They later went on to play alongside the likes of The Who and Rod Stewart and when the band split in 1971 individual members played alongside great artists such as Elkie Brooks and Robert Palmer.

After reforming once again in 1977 they gained wide success, capturing new audiences and attracting the attention of Television and Music producers. Now returned to their R’n’B roots, they continue to receive fantastic support from a growing and enthusiastic audience playing only at a few well selected venues.

Tickets for the gig are priced at £8 each and are available from the following locations: –

– Celebrations Cards, Havelock Street, Blyth
– Plessey Pantry, Plessey Road, Blyth
– Blyth Spartans Social Club (available on Match Days)
