Terrier trip for Spartans in NSC

The draw for the Quarter Finals of the Northumberland Senior Cup was made on Saturday evening and Spartans will face a trip to Bedlington Terriers.

The Terriers currently sit in thirteenth place in the EBAC Northern League Division One after losing 3-1 at Bishop Auckland on Saturday. The last time the two clubs met was in the FA Cup in October 2011 as Spartans ran out 2-1 winners at Croft Park thanks to goals from Wayne Phillips and Neal Hooks.

The last Northumberland Senior Cup tie between the two clubs was in August 2008. On that occasion Spartans came back from Bedlington with a comfortable 4-1, goalscorers for Harry Dunn’s side were Peter Snowdon, Gary Brown, Chris McCabe and Richard Logan.

The tie will take place on Wednesday 20th November with a 7.30pm kick off.
