As the season nears its official start date the club can confirm the following with regards to the first team squad: –

Darryll has left the club and has signed for Seaham Red Star.

Sadly Tom hasn’t been seen much during pre-season due to a persistent and long-term ankle injury, he attended an early training session and was their last night, but was unable to join in any of the contact elements of the session.

He has not officially signed for the club, but will be welcome to attend the training sessions once his ankle has fully recovered.

Tom featured in 29 games for Blyth last term, scoring once.

Phil Airey
Phil has spent much of the summer on trial in Scotland, but has also attended games and sessions with the Spartans, as of yet he has not agreed a deal at Croft Park and therefore remains a free agent

The striker/full back featured 44 games for Blyth, scoring seven times

Mark Cook
The goalkeeper was at the early pre-season training sessions, but has since been exploring options elsewhere. He has not signed for the Spartans for the upcoming season and is therefore a free agent

Cooky made six appearances for the club in total.

James Howath
The young ‘keeper has been loaned to Bishop Auckland for the season, but will remain registered to the club and has been invited to attend training sessions, when not required at Bishops.

Ryan Graham
Ryan has been released from the match day squad and has signed for Esh Winning

Adam Ward
The young defender has been on trial with the Spartans for the last couple of weeks, but has not been successful in securing in a deal for this season.

The club would like to thank all the lads for their efforts at Croft Park, in particular those who played for the club last season, and would like to wish them all the best in the future.
