Blyth Spartans can confirm that former right back Chris Bell has signed for the club for the upcoming campaign.
Chris made 12 appearances as a teenager for then manager Paul Baker in the early 2000’s signing along with Wayne Phillips from East Durham college and has since gone onto play for the likes of Whitley Bay, Shildon and Bishop Auckland.
Assistant manager Colin Myers commented “I’ve known Chris for a while and he was with me at Bishop Auckland, he’s a good player who was really keen to give it another go at Croft Park, so we’re pleased to be able to bring him back. He knows quite a lot of the lads in squad already so integrating him into what is a close knit squad shouldn’t be an issue.”
