Blyth Spartans’ central defender Darren Craddock has had a name check in the official match day programme for the recent Chelsea v FC Porto Champions League game.
Darren is mentioned as the best friend of reserve Blues’ keeper Ross Turnbull in the ‘Grass Roots’ section, which details the Chelsea players football lives as they were growing up.
Now whilst Mr. Turnbull is clearly a fine shot stopper, his knowledge of the local non-league scene isn’t too strong… (Blyth in the Northern League?)
