TEAM NEWS
Saturday saw Blyth run out alongside a Sunderland U21 side for the testimonial of current club captain Robbie Dale. We will be playing our last away pre-season friendly at EBAC Northern League club South Shields and it will be used as a chance for the players who still require fitness to get game time under their belts.

It’s also a chance for Tom Wade and Lee Picton to get another look at any trialists as they finalise their squad for the first league fixture at Barwell in twelve days.

South Shields have had a successful pre-season after recording four victories over fellow Northern League opposition. Ex-players Wayne Buchanan and Wayne Phillips have joined the Mariners over the summer, along with ex-Ashington manager Gary Middleton, who is the current number number at the club.
