Shaun Vipond Injury Update (11 Sept)

Shaun VipondFollowing the injury to midfielder Shaun Vipond in yesterday’s game with Droyslden, manager Steve Cuggy has been in to see the player and can confirm that he is good spirits and is determined to get back to his best as soon as possible.

The injury is a broken tibia and, whilst it was feared last night that Shaun may require an operation, Cuggy commented that Shaun was seeing a specialist later today and subject to the bone not having moved over night there may be no need for the operation.

Regardless of whether an operation is required or not, it is likely that the midfielder will be plaster for four months and it is unlikely that he will be back playing for six months.

We will endeavour to get regular updates as to the player’s progress as he returns to fitness and will post these up here on the club’s official website.
