Radio Northumberland announce more live games

It has been a tremendous season so far for Spartans – and Radio Northumberland have annonuced that they are to say thank you to the Green Army in their own special way.

The community station has so far covered 29 of Spartans’ 43 competitive fixtures, and as a thank you to supporters around the world who have listened and enjoyed over the last 7 months, commentators Jonny Hall and Mark Carruthers present the ‘Spartans Magnificent Seven’.

The seven fixtures include Spartans’ final home games against FC United of Manchester, Whitby Town and the Northumberland FA Senior Cup Semi-Final replay against Ashington, the trips to Ilkeston FC, Nantwich Town, Worksop Town and coverage of the final day at Stamford AFC.

Jonny Hall, Head of Sport for the station, explains: “Both myself and Mark have been completely overwhelmed by the support of the club and most importantly the Green Army. They have been with us every step of the way and we are delighted to make this announcement.”

“When we made the decision to start this journey, we always wanted to aim big and we continue to offer the level of access to a non-league club which we feel is unrivaled in the North East. In the process, Spartans have become the envy of many Evo Stik Northern Premier League clubs as well.”

“It has been a fantastic season and we look forward to being there with Tom and the lads, providing the supporters with the coverage that they deserve.”

Join Jonny and Mark on Saturday afternoon from the New Manor Ground as Spartans travel to Ilkeston FC. They’ll be live on from 2:30pm.
