Programme Preview vs Stamford AFC

programme-preview-smaller1.jpgBlyth Spartans will be looking to bounce back from Bank Holiday Monday’s defeat to Darlington 1883 with a result against Stamford on Saturday.

Spartans took the lead through an own goal at Heritage Park, but were pegged back and conceded twice to lose the match – their first defeat of the season.

Despite the defeat, Tom Wade insisted it is “fantastic” to have 13 points from six matches already this season due to the fact the side started last season so slowly.

And the rest of Tom’s thoughts on the season so far and the challenge of Stamford can be read in his Manager’s Notes, inside this week’s Matchday Magazine, which will be on sale for £2 on Saturday from the usual places.

Tom talks Nantwich and Darlington and there is plenty of other content in this week’s issue to get stuck into.

Saturday’s Spartans A-Z includes everything Spartans-related beginning with the letter C and relive the action from Blyth’s recent 1-0 victory over Buxton with this week’s Action Replay.

Ken Sproat looks back 50 years in Most Famously and Luke Bidwell catches you up on recent goings-on in the Evo-Stik Premier League.

Jonathan Lillico talks about Monday’s defeat and the history of Darlington 1883, while there are usual columns from Malcolm Stephenson and Ian Evans.

With all this at a price of £2, don’t miss this week’s Spartans Matchday Magazine.
