Manager Paddy Atkinson has handed in his resignation this evening – following a meeting with chairman Tony Platten.
He is stepping down due to his increasing work commitments and feels that the timing of his departure will give the club sufficient time to organise a new management structure for next season.
Atkinson is still committed to the club and has even offered to help Blyth with scouting, advice or any other role he can.
In his time at Spartans, he was committed to the club and was achieving the objectives set by the board.
Blyth Spartans wishes to thank Paddy for all that he has done for the club. We also wish him well and good luck for the future.
Tom Wade will take charge of the team at tomorrow’s match away to Nantwich Town. Further annoucements will be made on this site.
