Blyth Spartans AFC will be on show in a business exhibition at Newcastle Racecourse in Gosforth on the 2nd March 2011.
Following on from the success of last year’s first ever North East Expo, when 750 business men and women attended, the organisers were quick to arrange a second event and the club have seen this as an excellent opportunity to attract new sponsorship.
Blyth Spartans’ Commercial Manager, Ian Evans said: “There will be over 160 exhibitors and they’re expecting up to 1000 people to turn up this year.
“Our aim is to promote the Blyth Spartans brand and hopefully gain some new sponsorship and advertisement deals.”
He added: “We feel this could be advantageous to companies who provide staff reward schemes for their employees as we offer an excellent corporate entertainment package on match days.
“We currently have a sponsorship deal for the shirts but not the shorts so there is a big opportunity there as well.”
Ian said: “On the day of the exhibition we’ll have our own stand, where I and other representatives from Blyth Spartans will be present so people can enquire about the sponsorship packages we offer.”
