Marine fan on his bike for MS

When Marine travel to Croft Park tomorrow the vast majority of people connected with the club will be travelling by coach, however one supporter is taking a tougher route and it’s all in a good cause. In order to raise awareness for the MS Trust, Marine’s charity fundraiser Peter McCormack is getting on his bike and cycling the 187 mile cycle to the match over two days.

In the Queen’s birthday honours list in June, Peter was an awarded the British Empire Medal for his charity rides in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Trust, including trips in recent years across China, Africa’s Sahara desert and up and over the mountains of Peru in South America.

To make sure he makes the game in good time, the supporter and Head of Operations at the club’s stadium sponsors Arriva set off on Friday morning.

Everyone at Blyth Spartans would like to wish Peter a safe journey up to Croft Park and the best of luck with his ride.
