Manager Tom Wade picked up the Giant Killer Award on behalf of the Spartans at the North East Football Writers Association Annual Dinner last Sunday.
The event, held at the Ramside Hall Hotel, was attended by many regional and national journalists plus personalities from north east football including Sam Allardyce and Steve McClaren.
The award was presented by BBC’s Ian Dennis who commentated for Five Live at the Blyth versus Birmingham City game. It turns out Ian follows the Spartans’ results and is fully up to date with how the club is doing this season!
