Blyth Spartans is delighted to announce that Finn Cousin-Dawson has re-joined the Club on a season-long loan deal from League Two outfit Bradford.
The 21-year-old joined Spartans on an initial 28-day loan at the beginning of February before having his spell extended until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Cousin-Dawson spent the first half of the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Spennymoor Town making 21 appearances and then featured an additional 15 times for Spartans in the league.
The versatile defender prominently played at centre-half and accumulated nine clean sheets helping Graham Fenton’s side to secure Vanarama National League North safety.
Commenting on re-joining Spartans, Cousin-Dawson said: “It’s good to be back at the Club, I really enjoyed the last few months of last season. There’s a great set of lads and staff here.
“Hopefully we can carry on what we did in the last part of the season and take it into this year and have a successful season as a Club.”
Speaking on the recent arrival of JJ Hooper and now Cousin-Dawson, Graham Fenton said: “Over the last couple of days we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to try and get both, JJ Hooper and Finn Cousin-Dawson over the line, and gladly we can say that they’ve both put their signatures on the dotted line.
“I’m delighted to get them both in and looking forward to get started with them tomorrow (at North Shields).”
Welcome back to Croft Park, Finn!
