The 1-0 victory over Garforth Town on Saturday was enough to see Spartans go into the draw for the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round. Phil Airey’s first half finish gave Tommy Cassidy’s men the win and they will go into the hat alongside some familiar faces as well as a host of sides we are yet to meet this season.
North East sides Spennymoor Town, Shildon, Bishop Auckland and West Auckland Town will be in there alongside fellow Evo-Stik Northern Premier League sides FC United of Manchester, North Ferriby United and Witton Albion.
