Defender Stuart Bramley has agreed to stay with Blyth Spartans as manager Tom Wade’s squad quickly take shape ahead of the new season.

Bramley joined Spartans after a spell with American NPSL club Dallas City in March and made his debut from the bench in the impressive win at Kings Lynn Town in the same month.

An injury to Ryan Hutchinson in that win gave Bramley his chance and he kept his place in the side until an injury in the penultimate league game of the season brought a premature end to his first season with Spartans.

Now the twenty three year old is already looking forward to the new season.

“Since joining the club late in the season I knew it would have been hard to work my way into the team with the great talent we have in the squad. When I managed to get my chance all I wanted to do was work hard for the team, managers and fans.

Everyone welcomed me to the club and it was a great surrounding to be in. Every time I put the shirt on I just always seemed to play with a smile on my face which has means a lot to a player.

I’m looking forward to next season to fight for my place and hopefully earn a spot in the starting team and help the team to win the league. Whenever I start something I’ll always give my best and to me that means winning the league and being successful in all areas of the club. If it’s anything like the last nine games of the season I know it will be a great year”
