The club can announce that David Knight has left the club.
The 25-year-old joined initially on loan from Histon and joined permanently on his release for the Cambridge based club. He attended the first pre-season session with the Spartans before deciding his future lay elsewhere.
Manager Tommy Cassidy commented “I’m disappointed to lose Knighty as he was someone that I wanted to retain for this season.”
“We made him an offer to stay, but he has been involved in full-time football pretty much all his career and feels that he’ll get a better financial package elsewhere. He leaves with no bad feelings and we wish him well in the future.”
