Cory Davison’s Christmas Pledge To His Friends

Blyth Spartans can announce that there is a night being held on the 23rd December (in the Blyth Spartans Social Club) with the aim being for Cory Davison, the Spartans’ own mascot, to raise as much money for the Children’s Ward at the RVI.

Leading from the front

Cory has written the following letter, which he would like you to read:

“Hello, my name is Cory Davison and I am looking for your help in helping me on my mission to make Christmas a little easier and more enjoyable for my friends on Ward 4 Children’s Cancer Unit at the RVI Hospital.

In February last year, I was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive brain tumour. I had a 7-hour spell in brain surgery and have spent months in hospital, receiving treatment. Whilst on Ward 4, I met a lot of friends – some of which will be still in hospital on Christmas Day … It is my goal to collect Xmas presents from local people and businesses and to give them out on Xmas morning to my friends & other children on the Ward. – Can you help me??

I am asking for Children’s gifts (new) for children aged between 0-12 and any raffle donations to raise money to buy a couple of Computer Consoles for the Ward. Please help to put a smile on these very brave kids faces on Christmas day.

If you can help, please call or Text: 07411148645.

Thank you very much.

Love,

Cory Davison.”
