All Eyes On Hyde v Southport Tonight

If Hyde Utd are defeated in tonight’s home clash against title chasing Southport and Blyth manage a victory on Saturday over Gainsborough Trinity, (who were beaten 0-1 by Hyde last Saturday), the Spartans will virtually be assured of BSN football next season, bar losing a 19 goal difference advantage over Burscough.

Gary Brown – Suspension Update

Following on from Gary’s red card against Redditch United, that we see the popular defender miss 4 matches (the remaining games of this season, as well as the opening game of next), his booking in the recent Vauxhall Motors game was also his 10th of the season, meaning an additional 2 game ban. This will sadly see Gary now miss the opening three games of the 2009/2010 campaign.

Well done Whitley Bay

Yesterday’s 1-1 draw at Lowestoft Town saw Northern League side Whitley Bay FC progress to the final of the FA Vase at Wembley Stadium, that will see the Seasiders face Glossop North End (10 May 2009).
