Arrival | Russell earns Spartans deal

Blyth Spartans AFC is pleased to announce the signing of Kurt Russell following a successful trial period.  The 20-year-old winger impressed manager Michael Nelson and supporters to earn himself a contract at Croft Park.  Russell began his career in Newcastle United’s academy before moving abroad to join Croatian side NK Novigrad in 2018.   Following one-year away, Russell returned to England and the North East, initially linking up with Northern League…

It is with an extremely heavy heart that Blyth Spartans AFC confirm the retirement of Robbie Dale after 17 consecutive seasons at the club. Robbie hangs up his boots aged 36 as Blyth’s all-time record appearance holder with 680 and ranks second behind Brian Slane in the goalscoring charts with 212. Club Statement | Positive Coronavirus test

Blyth Spartans AFC can confirm an individual at the club has tested positive for coronavirus.  The individual was present at training on Tuesday evening but missed Thursday’s session due to feeling unwell.  They have since tested positive for coronavirus, meaning all staff and players present at training on Tuesday must self isolate for 14 days from now, under government rules.  Subsequently, this means Saturday’s arranged friendly at Hartlepool United has…
