Cassidy reaction to Hooks signing

Manager Tommy Cassidy has expressed his delight with today’s news that midfielder Neal Hooks will be returning to the club commenting  “I’m really pleased that Neal has come back to Croft Park, as I think he could prove to be an excellent signing – I’m looking forward to getting him back in the side.”

“He’s a cultured midfield player, who uses the ball well, something which we have probably lacked this season, but he is also a good lad to have around the squad”

“I’ve seen it written and speculated on that me and Neal don’t get on, but that is not that the truth. I had Neal at Blue Star and again at Blyth last season and certainly don’t have a problem with him as a player or as a person.”

“Hopefully all the necessary paperwork relating to his registration can be sorted so that he can be in the squad for tomorrow’s game away at Stocksbridge Park Steels.”
