TEAM NEWS
After last week’s fixture against a strong Carlisle United team, Spartans can look forward to more Football League opposition in the form of recently relegated Blackpool FC. With the two clubs agreeing a friendly as part of the deal which saw young winger Jarrett Rivers move to Bloomfield Road, Blyth fans will be looking forward to see how both he has settled in and how our own team can cope without him.

Paul Robinson will be available after returning from his holiday as will defender Jordan Watson. Sean Reid and Adam McHugh made appearances against Carlisle last Tuesday and they will be hoping they can continue their pre season warm up with minutes against quality opposition once again. The trialists on show can try to impress manger Tom Wade and coach Lee Picton as they continue to search for new squad members for the start of the Evo-Stik Premier Division 2015/16.

OPPOSITION MANAGER
Neil McDonald – ex Newcastle United player, joined Blackpool 2nd June 2015 after their relegation to SkyBet League 1.

DANGER MAN
Jarrett Rivers – We all know about the winger and that his pace and direct running can cause any defence problems. Our defenders will be kept busy.
