Spartans were quite awesome – blowing away the in form Hinckley team.

The score could have been at least double figures. When considering they even missed a first half penalty!!

Goal 1 – 22 minutes
Throw in on the right Mark Donninger finds Rob Dale inside the area, good touch and shot only parried by Connolly, for Mick Tait to turn home from 10 yards.

34 minutes – Paul Lister foul on Paul Brayson, penalty – Dale pulls his spot kick wide.

Goal 2 – 39 minutes
Throw in left side, Kenny Boyle finds Ian Graham who switches play to right wing, Stephen Harrison cuts inside and a left foot curling shot passed Connolly.

Goal 3 – 43 minutes
Brayson sets up Donninger, edge of the penalty area, shooting home.

Goal 4 – 45 minutes
Harrison, Donninger linked with Brayson – his effort is saved but Graham follows up.

Goal 5 – 49 minutes
Well weighted pass from Donninger finds Brayson inside the penalty area, Brayson’s first effort blocked by Connolly only for Brayson to follow up and score from 6 yards.

Goal 6 – 81 minutes
Harrison’s cross from the right sought out Graham, ridiculously wide of the goal to the left. Ridiculously? Not to him, as he gymnastically volleyed back across goal with the outside of his boot, and in.

Hinckley’s consolation on 75 minutes came from the head of Alex Taylor.
