Spartans fans may like to watch BBC Look North this Tuesday (6.30pm) when there will be a feature on Munitionettes’ football during the First World War.
Blyth Spartans Ladies side were particularly successful. Their star striker, Bella Reay, regularly stole the headlines with her goal scoring exploits.
The BBC filmed at Croft Park a couple of weeks ago and interviewed Bella’s granddaughter Yvonne Crawford who still lives in the town.
