The draws have been made for the first stages of this season’s FA Cup and FA Trophy and Spartans have been handed two away draws.
In the first Qualifying round of the FA Cup Tom Wade’s side face a wait to see who they will play with potential opponents including Nelson, West Auckland Town or Darlington.
Whoever the eventual opponents are the tie will take place on Saturday 13th September.
Last season Spartans fell at the first hurdle as AFC Fylde came away from Croft Park with a 3-1 win.
While in the FA Trophy First Preliminary Round Spartans face a trip to Farsley.
That tie takes place on Saturday 1st November.
Spartans made a spectacular start to their Trophy campaign last season beating Skelmersdale United 6-0 at Croft Park. However they were knocked out in the next round by a Ramsbottom United side who they will face in the league this season.
