It’s a month today until Spartans kick off their Evo-Stik Northern Premier League season and they have been handed an away fixture at Marine on the opening day. Tom Wade’s side will travel to The Arriva Stadium hoping to get their campaign off on a positive note before a Croft Park double header that starts with the visit of newly promoted Trafford on Tuesday 20 August. Hot on the heels of that game is another home game against Worksop Town on the following Saturday.
The Christmas period provides Spartans with two away trips. Boxing Day predictably brings a trip to Whitby Town, a reverse of last Boxing Day’s fixture list and two days later Spartans will be on the road again with a long trip to newly promoted Barwell. The festive programme ends with Stocksbridge Park Steels playing first foot at Croft Park on Wednesday 1st January.
Easter Monday sees the home programme for the season rounded off with the visit of Whitby Town and the campaign is rounded off with a trip to Stamford on Saturday 26 April
