Huge congratulations goes out to our under 19’s side, who last week, ran out victors against Boston United, winning 5-2.
In a match that saw three first team players involved, and seven goals, Blyth Spartans under-19’s stormed home to victory in the Academy National Cup quarter-finals.
Goals came from Michael Johnstone and Owen Mitchell, as well as an outstanding hat-trick from Billy Gordon, a player who has recently proved his worth by being awarded a contract with the Blyth Spartans first team.
The young Spartans will now go on to play York City at the semi-final stage, where, if successful, they could go on to meet Maidstone United or Aldershot Town in the final.
