TEAM NEWS
A tough test for Spartans this weekend as they travel down to Manchester to face Trafford FC. The Lancashire based side are currently in 23rd position in the league table but have just named the experienced Graham Heathcote as their new manager this week. With it being his first game in-charge, Blyth will need to prepare for a reaction from histhe squad as The Green Army go after the league double.

Winger Jarrett Rivers has been on trial at SkyBet League 1 side Oldham Athletic this week. His future at the club is in question after the club received bids from both Oldham and an additional League 1 side for the youngster. Blyth’s last game was in blustery conditions on Saturday at home to Belper Town, a game which was won 2-0. Performances from the ever reliable Peter Jefferies and the back wall of defence will be vital to keep out known goalscorer Sheldon Payne and the rest of Heathcote’s men who will be looking for their second home league win of the campaign. A win for Spartans can see them move up to 14th, with results going their way.

OPPOSITION MANAGER
Graham Heathcote – installed as new manager on Monday, his first game incharge of Trafford after the departure of Garry Vaughan.
