Arrival | Ex-Newcastle man signs for Spartans

Blyth Spartans AFC is pleased to announce the signing of former Newcastle United goalkeeper Brendan Pearson.  Pearson, 23, has been training with Spartans for the last two months and has appeared in all three of the club’s pre-season fixtures so far – impressing manager Michael Nelson.  Having been a part of Newcastle’s academy, Pearson signed his first professional contract with the Magpies in 2016 – which included a loan spell…

Blyth Spartans are pleased to announce the arrivals of Callum Guy and Kieran Charlton from South Shields.  The pair become Michael Nelson’s first additions as manager as he builds his squad ahead of the 2020-21 National League North campaign.  Guy, 20, who lifted the National League Under-19s Alliance League Cup with the Mariners in 2019, made 15 appearances for the Mariners in total, scoring three goals.  His time with the…

Departure | Mouanda recalled by South Shields

Blyth Spartans can announce Ursene Mouanda was recalled from his season-long loan spell on Monday. The former Rangers midfielder moved to Croft Park in the summer and went to make 12 appearances in Blyth colours. Upon his return to the South Shields, Mouanda agreed a permament deal with BetVictor West side Dunston UTS. We wish Ursene all the very best for the future.

Blyth Spartans have completed the signing of central midfielder Ursene Mouanda on a season-long loan deal from South Shields.
