Blyth Spartans AFC is pleased to announce Paul Blackett has joined on a season-long loan from National League North rivals Gateshead. A former Newcastle United scholar, Blackett, 22, joined The Heed last summer having previously played for Heaton Stan and Newcastle Benfield in the Northern League. Blyth Spartans AFC is pleased to announce the arrival of former Blackburn Rovers youngster Connor Thomson. Thomson, 24, arrives at Croft Park having spent the last two seasons at National League North rivals Gateshead, where he briefly worked under boss Michael Nelson. Evening sessions will run every Monday between 7pm-8pm alongside our morning slots – as previously advertised.
