TEAM NEWS
An FA Cup run was not meant to be for Blyth this season after last weekend’s defeat at the hands of Spennymoor Town but attention quickly switches back towards Spartans’ league form which sees us top after 8 games. With three away wins under our belt already, a trip to Stourbridge could be the way towards pushing ourselves higher away from the chasing pack. Our record against the Glassboys is something to showcase with three wins in as many games and three clean sheets to boast about. Keeping that record intact will be a huge aim for coaching and playing staff.

Stourbridge find themselves currently 15th in the table and come to the game on the back of a cup victory to Tividale, seeing them into the next round of the competition. Last season’s result at the War Memorial Athletic Ground saw Blyth come away 3-0 winners with goals coming from Jarrett Rivers, Dan Hawkins and Stephen Turnbull. With only the latter still at the club, the current members of the squad will be hoping to emulate our success down in the West Midlands in March.

OPPOSITION MANAGER
Gary Hackett – ex player for Shrewsbury, Aberdeen, Stoke City, West Brom, Peterborough and Chester City. Been manager of Stourbridge since 2003.
