TEAM NEWS
It’s been nine points in eight days for Spartans as maximum points from matches against Mickleover Sports, Hyde United and Grantham Town, leave Blyth four points clear at the top of the league, with a game in hand on second placed Nantwich Town. The next journey on the road takes us back to Manchester in the hope of taking full points from bottom side Ramsbottom United. Previous visits to Manchester have seen Blyth have strong wins at Ashton United and Salford City and Blyth would be disappointed should they drop points at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium.
Robbie Dale is now the joint top scorer in the league, reaching double figures after notching the second goal against Grantham on the weekend. In form attacking midfielder Sean Reid also got his fourth goal of the season with a tidy finish at the front post to score what was to be the winner in Lincolnshire. Ryan Hutchinson went off injured on Saturday. He will be assessed before the game.
OPPOSITION MANAGER
Phil Edghill – Ex Curzon Ashton & Salford City striker, became manager of Ramsbottom last Tuesday after previous manager Jon Robinson was relieved of his duties after a poor start.
DANGER MAN
Lee Gaskell – Joint top scorer for the Rams, with three to his name.
