A new era kicks off at Croft Park tomorrow afternoon as Spartans face Boston United for the first time under new ownership.

Jon Shaw’s side suffered heartbreak on Tuesday evening in their last fixture against Farsley Celtic as Lewis Turner’s strike sealed three points following a hard-fought battle.

There will be no segregation in place.

JJ O’Donnell, Michael Liddle and JJ Hooper will be unavailable for tomorrow’s clash against Boston. Spartans announced the loan signing of York City defender, Zanda Siziba who will be in contention to make his National League North debut tomorrow.

Following a 1-0 defeat on the road against Farsley Celtic, Jon Shaw said:

Boston currently sit 6th in the National League North and haven’t been defeated in 6 games, winning four, drawing two.

In their last match, Boston beat relegation battlers Darlington 2-0. Goals coming from Kelsey Mooney and Jimmy Knowles.

Last minute heartache cost the Spartans 3 points when they met Boston earlier in the league at the Jakemans Community Stadium. Loanee Cedric Main converting a 26th minute penalty to go 0-1 up away from home, Spartans looked to be taking all three points, but suddenly momentum turned Boston’s way in the 89th minute as Kelsey Mooney scored twice and Michael Gyasi added another in added time, snatching all the points away from Blyth.

Tomorrow proves to be a very exciting affair both on the pitch and off the pitch. With a new era dawning on Croft Park, there will be lots of things going on. From 12PM there will be face painting from Rainbow Jelly Face Painting for £2. The Funky Indianwali will be back after a successful night at the launch of the new ownership, offering a selection of Indian style tacos.

We do request that you keep your ticket handy throughout the match when entering and re-entering Croft Park as you will be asked to show your ticket on re-admission.

You can follow all of the action on Saturday afternoon via our social media platforms and BlythLive on Mixlr from 2:45pm.
