A combination of opponent’s cup commitments and the current cold snap has restricted the Spartans to only two games within the month, the first was a draw at Stafford Rangers where Player of the Month Jack Norton produced several fine saves, including a stunning one handed tip around the post at the start of the second half, to ensure that the Spartans came away with a point.
The second game of the month, the home trophy victory over Ilkeston Town, saw Jack again produce a confident and assured performance to make sure that Blyth kept a clean sheet.
His performances have been such that he has kept out regular first choice keeper Mark Bell, following Bell’s recovery from injury.
Well done Jack!
