A pacey winger or wing back with an eye for goal, Curtis began his career at Redcar town before joining Guisborough Town in 2014 before moving on to Whitby Town in 2016. He would quickly move to Marske United where we would establish himself as a key member of the team as they won the Northern League in 2018. Round was top scorer with 18 goals in 33 games in the 2018/19 season and he also finished in 2nd place in the Northern Premier League player of the season vote.
