TEAM NEWS

The Spartans welcome Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday, looking to get back to winning ways after suffering heavy defeats to Salford City and Harrogate Town.

On Easter Monday, Blyth succumbed to Harrogate Town, losing 5-1. John McCombe nodded the hosts ahead, before Jake Wright powered home a header from a corner before Sean Reid pulled a goal back. Dom Knowles bundled home a third before the interval. George Thomson and Wright added a goal apiece in the second half to put gloss on the scoreline.

The Harriers were also in action on Monday as they came from behind to beat 3rd placed Brackley Town 2-1 at Aggborough. Dean had put the visitors ahead on 81 minutes but Kidderminster hit back as Fraser Horsfall rifled home from 35yrds and then Dan Bradley grabbed the winner in the 88th minute.

Blyth need the points to revive their playoff hopes and after the recent heavy defeats, try to boost their goal difference in the process.
