TEAM NEWS
Blyth are back top and with a game in hand. After two strong home performances against Mickleover Sports and Hyde United last week, Spartans regained top spot with a game in hand on the teams below. Saturday sees us on the road again and to Grantham Town. If the match is to mimic anything like the last time we were at The South Kesteven Sports Stadium, Blyth will be still top the league come 17:45. A 7-1 hammering was recorded last December and the players will have aims to secure the three points once again.

Dan Maguire is the only remaining Spartan from the score sheet that day, getting two for himself. He got himself back on the score sheet of late after breaking through a sticky spell without scoring this campaign, getting the third on Tuesday night at home to Hyde United. Robbie Dale also continued his excellent scoring form on Tuesday, taking his tally to nine, the joint second top scorer in the league. Grantham are not currently enjoying good form like Blyth, with only one win in the league this campaign. But with only six points dropped at home from a possible 15, their home form could be what they have to keep themselves away from the foot of the table. A tough battle for Spartans but a fixture from which we should be hoping for maximum points.

OPPOSITION MANAGER
Adam Stevens – Been in charge since last November, took the team to a 12th place finish.

DANGER MAN
Ben Saunders – Centre forward scored the equaliser for Grantham at Stourbridge on Monday.
