Marc Nash’s under-18s defeated Gateshead 5-3 in the Youth Alliance Cup second round at Cochrane Park as a Bobby Small hat-trick, as well as goals from Ryan Ndiweni and Will Elliott sealed progression to the next stage.
A brace from Owen Mitchell added to Olly Farley’s goal to secure three points for the under-19s in league action as they triumphed 3-1 away against Chesterfield.
They now occupy third place and one point behind the head of the table.
