Blyth Spartans have appointed a new Match Reporter. 29 year old Mark Carruthers will take over from Andrew Dodds who had to relinquish the position due to work reasons. Mark works in Houghton-le-Spring and writes a number of blogs on Newcastle United and wider football issues. Slaughter Moves On
The club can announce that Richie Slaughter has decided to join former manager Steve Cuggy at Newcastle Benfield. Slaughter signed from Consett last summer and went on to play 38 times for the Spartans in a variety positions.
