Blyth Spartans AGM will be held in the Social Club on Thursday 12th August 7:30pm. This will be followed by an Open Forum at approximately 8pm, the Executive Committee and Manager Mick Tait will be available for questions and answers.

North Shields footballer Anthony Lowther sadly passed away in January 2010 after a short illness. He was a Civil Servant and lived in Hadrian Park with his wife and baby son. The 31st AGM and presentation night of the Conference has seen the Spartans’ striker Paul Brayson named in the Blue Square North team of the year. The club can announce that Chris Swailes has agreed to join the club in a move that will see the 39 year old centre back doubling up as Assistant Manager to Mick Tait. The club can announce that goalkeeper Mark Bell has left the Spartans. Mark was one of the heroes of the 2008-2009 FA Cup run and guaranteed his place in Spartans folklore with the stunning diving save from Lee Bradbury in the away fixture at Bournemouth.
