Spartans Sign Ryan McGorrigan

Blyth Spartans can announce the signing of striker Ryan McGorrigan following a spell at Gateshead. The striker, who turns 20 next week, started his career at Newcastle United, but was released in the summer. He spent the early part of this season at the International Stadium and has been training with the Spartans since his recent release. Tom Wade joins Spartans

Spartans Chairman Tony Platten has, this morning, talked to Coach Paddy Atkinson and club Captain Wayne Buchanan about the dismissal of manager Tommy Cassidy. Further conversations will be held with them tonight at training, which will go ahead as planned.
