TEAM NEWS
Non League Day comes to Croft Park again this year as we welcome newly promoted side Sutton Coldfield Town to the North East. With the ‘big boys’ in the form of Newcastle United and Sunderland not playing due to internationals, fans are encouraged to come to their local non-league grounds to witness what they have to offer. Blyth currently sit top of the league will be hoping for a 500+ crowd as we defend our unbeaten home run. Sutton Coldfield, from the West Midlands, are currently ranked top of the form tables, with four wins in their last six matches, the other two being draws.

Four points clear and a game in hand on 2nd gives Spartans the chance to make distance at the top and taking full points against teams like The Royals will be crucial. Top scorer Robbie Dale has scored two in his last two home games, against Mickleover Sports and Hyde United. He will be looking to get back to the top of the league’s scoring charts, which is currently topped by Buxton’s Liam Hardy on 11. Fabian Otte’s performance on Tuesday night was widely talked about, with a good number of saves produced to get a point away to Ramsbottom United. His home form stands at two clean sheets, he will be looking to make it 3/3 on Saturday. Michael Richardson came on and hit the post in added time on Tuesday night. He will be looking to get that set right by helping get the team on the tracks with another three points.
