TEAM NEWS
Tuesday night saw Spartans finish the game disappointed and frustrated at the point picked up against play off side Ashton United. This Easter weekend will most likely be the last chances to push for a chance of making an appearance in the Skrill North for the next campaign. Halesowen Town have already made a Croft Park appearance this season, in the shape of the FA Trophy, which a reply was required and a 2-0 defeat followed. A win today could reignite a push which see’s Blyth travel to Workington on Bank Holiday Monday, a tough tie which will no doubt hold a spectacular showing.

Alex Nicholson scored his 2nd goal in 3 games for Spartans on Tuesday and the right back, one of a couple players recently has shown his footballing class, he will be looking to contribute both attacking and defending for Blyth in today’s fixture. Dan Maguire is still only 1 league goal from reaching 20, something which will reflect another cracking season for the young forward. A win today could see The Green Army move up to 6th in the table, with 4 points potentially separating us and last play off place Curzon Ashton.
