TEAM NEWS
Blyth will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s late drama with another strong performance in the chase for the play offs. And in a way will be fellow promotion pushers Barwell FC. The team from Leicestershire have already taken three points from Spartans earlier this season, with a tight fought 2-1 victory at Kirkby Road Sports Ground, back in October. A win for Blyth could see us leapfrog tonight’s opposition with a superior goal difference. Doing so could also close the gap on us and the last play off holder, Skelmersdale United to nine points, with six games in hand.

Today we see weekend goalscorer Michael Richardson celebrate his birthday, he will be looking to top off with another solid performance for the team. Dan Maguire’s goal on Saturday saw his league tally reach 14. He will be hoping to climb up the standings with goals against a side who have nine away defeats to their name. Robbie Dale is in the five man short-list for the league’s Supporters Player of the Season. He will be looking to win over some more supporters with a captain’s lead role in tonight’s fixture.

IN THE AWAY DUG OUT
Jimmy Ginnelly – ex Atherstone Town and Shepshed Dynamo

DANGER MAN
Anthony Carney – Just missed out in the league’s top five Supporters Player of the Season awards spot.
