It was sweet revenge for Blyth Spartans as they got this seasons FA Cup campaign under way against Guiseley; who knocked the Spartans out of the same competition last season. A selection of match action photos by Bill Broadley from the pre-season friendly against Middlesbrough U23’s at Croft Park. Although the game was goalless after 90minutes of football, Spartans did have a number of opportunities to break the deadlock; hitting the wood work twice. The visitors, also had a number of chances, but thanks to Blyth Keeper Alex Mitchell who pulled off a number of high quality saves.
